MONTHLY FULL MOON WALK

Nature @ Heart is all about nature, in nature. Our monthly Full Moon Walk was designed for nature enthusiasts, your and old, to experience nature at night, offering both stargazing and glimpses of lesser spotter nocturnal creatures who are active mostly at night.

This monthly Full Moon Walk is hosted at a local nature reserve and aims to share with the community our natural environment, to create a sense of care for nature and to encourage the conservation of biodiversity.

Our first Full Moon Walk and stargazing event was hosted in August 2016 and has proven to be very popular both in the summer and winter months! Although the winter months are colder, the sunset and full moon rise is still a spectacular event to witness and always lives up to expectations.  Looking through the telescope brings the full moon closer for a better view.

In addition to stargazing, the Full Moon Walks provide a unique opportunity to view some of the nature reserve’s nocturnal creatures as they move about under the light of the moon. Participants can expect to see creatures such as porcupines, brown house snake, spiders, scorpions, frogs, owls and chameleons.

This event provides a night of fun for the whole family and children are most welcome!
